Hoburne are a household name when it comes to domestic holiday operators. With a passion for creating, developing and running some of the best holiday parks in the country we seemed a good match! The St Mabyn development set out to provide an alternative and yet outstanding, 5 star experience with bespoke, boutique accommodation and a real sense of privacy and outdoor space.

The Beginning

Case Study: Hoburne St Mabyn. Bury & Knight, the development company owned by Hoburne purchased a mature caravan site in the beautifully located village of St Mabyn with a strong vision; to reimagine the stereotypical ‘self catering’ holiday. Directors approached us here at Pathfinder Homes 12 months prior to the beginning of development. They wanted to create boutique style homes, a carefree atmosphere and offer private outdoor space with a Hot Tub. Their target market was couples & families and offer a unique, domestic experience.

The Director of Hoburne Properties, Sales Director & Property Sales & Rentals Manager visited Pathfinder Homes HQ and met with our Directors & Designer. After a factory tour & informal discussion regarding their vision for the recent investment, we got to work. The Hoburne team already had a great idea as to what they were looking for in the accommodation, they wanted mono-pitch homes, with center lounges and a modern colour CanExcel finish.

Our Creative Team designed three interior schemes and alongside our Directors and Sales Team visited Hoburne HQ to present then to the team. You can see the initial mood boards to the right! It was clear from the offset Hoburne wanted an individual feeling to the park and therefore opted to go with all three designs, in two different sizes!

Our Production Manager worked closely with the Hoburne Team and site contractors to create a delivery schedule and project timeline. Now, with phase one under our belt and an operations meeting planned for stage two, we can’t wait to get building the future of the park! Rentals are often booked out up to 9 months in advance, sales are well underway and a Reevo average review of 10/10; Bury & Knight are already viewing this development as a huge success!
