In the next series of ‘A day in the life’ we catch up with our Sales Director Darren Langston & find out what it’s like to be him!
I wake up between: 6.30am Alarm goes of with KISS FM blaring away
I start my day by: Turning on the Laptop. making myself/team a brew and quick chat on how things went the day before.
I’m responsible for: Looking after 3 Sales Executives, over seeing 2 GREAT TEAM’S Sales/Meeting. Also working with our Group Partners (Hoburne, Shorefield Holidays, Away Resorts, etc), promoting our products to future Group Partners, Involvement in regional and national shows, meeting our customers at regional BH&HPA Meetings, plus a lot more!
The best thing about my job is: The buzz when we get an order from a customer. Being in sales for over 35 years, I still get a sense of satisfaction. as all the hard work has paid off!
My favourite work memory so far is: The team sponsoring my Moon Walk in London, 26.2 miles in 6hrs 50mins (Thanks to my partner in crime Emma Budge!)
Advice I’d give to somebody getting into this industry: Just be yourself. Don’t pretend to be somebody you aren’t. you’ll get found out quickly.
