Hoburne Group celebrates the introduction of new Hideaway lodges at its latest park at a leading trade show
To celebrate the forthcoming spring opening of Hoburne Holiday Parks’ latest location in St Mabyn, Cornwall, the family-run holiday park operator co-hosted an exclusive reception with Pathfinder Homes at 2019 The Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show in Birmingham.
To highlight the location of the new Hoburne St Mabyn park, a Cornish cream tea reception was put on for guests attending the show. The reception also acknowledged Hoburne’s partnership with Pathfinder Homes, the firm that has designed and developed modern, well-appointed luxury Hideaway Lodges exclusively for Hoburne St Mabyn.

Hideaway Lodges are available in a choice of three interior design themes – country, coastal and New York loft style – and each lodge is built to make the most of the outdoors with a central living area framed by large glass windows overlooking an external space for entertaining. All lodges for sale have a provision for a hot tub which can be built into the private landscaped recreational space for that added touch of luxury.
The new development at Hoburne St Mabyn will create an idyllic escape for owners and holidaymakers, enabling them to relax and unwind in an environment which offers a tranquil space without the busier traditional park facilities and can be used as a base from which to explore the local area.
The first phase of the new Hideaway Lodges development officially opens this spring, with holidays available from May onwards. The first phase of the development includes 25 plots, 17 of which are available for ownership and eight for holidays, as well as a lodge reception for two full-time park management personnel.
When buying a Hideaway Lodge, owners will receive a bespoke service, which is a unique offering by Hoburne, to tailor their second home package according to lifestyle interests for a genuine ‘home from home’ experience.
Holiday bookings for Hoburne St Mabyn opened early 2019 and within the first couple of weeks of opening more than 150 bookings were confirmed for when the park opens to holidaymakers on May 3.
Alex Day adds: “The Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show provided us with a great opportunity to officially celebrate our exclusive partnership with Pathfinder Homes and the forthcoming opening of our new park in Cornwall. The show was a success for us and we received some great feedback about the Hideaway Lodge on display. A number of potential customers said that both the lodges and the park development were just what they were looking for and were excited to be making arrangements to visit the park. We also had plenty of positive comments from other park operators.
“A storage box will be provided with every lodge to house useful items such as body boards, buckets and spades, picnic blankets and bicycles for those into the great outdoors, and for those into their home entertainment, a lodge may include the latest Sonos system and games console. As part of the service to holidaymakers, Hoburne will ensure that on arrival the fridge is stocked with essentials, supplied by the park’s neighbouring village store.”
