After jumping from a plane hovering 15,000ft above sea level, the Pathfinder Homes team can officially announce we have raised £2,800 in sponsorship for local charity Rowcroft Hospice.
Devon based, luxury lodge manufacturer Pathfinder Homes announced their Charity of The Year as Rowcroft Hospice at their VIP weekend in November. Since then the team has run Scottish 10k’s, jumped out of planes and eaten lots of cake all in aid of the Torquay based hospice and have plenty more planned for the rest of the year.
Pathfinder Homes donated the full amount to Rowcroft Hospice. To take to the skies, all the team of 8 had to do was raise as much extra money as possible, which resulted in them ranking in the top 5% of fundraisers, on the global donation site JustGiving, for the month of January!
Although the sky dive was originally scheduled for December, weather conditions forced the team to postpone, but despite a blow to morale, this lengthened the fundraising time scale and caused a flood of donations over a longer period of time.
Ben Bowden, Production Supervisor at Pathfinder Homes was one of the brave team members to take to the sky and upon his landing stated, “This has literally changed my life! I am so proud to have raised over £400 for Rowcroft Hospice and without a doubt would do it all again. Pathfinder Homes provided and funded a great opportunity to us all and am really looking forward to the next fundraising challenge.”
Pathfinder Homes is one of the main sponsors of Rowcroft Hospice’s, Colour Rush. This is the happiest and brightest fundraising event in Devon, taking place 7th May 2016 on Teignmouth Beach. The luxury lodge manufacturers are going to host a table on the 5k circuit meaning they get to splash participants with their iconic branding colours of purple and yellow.
