Saturday 7th May twenty of our team members arrived at Teignmouth beach, not 100% sure what they had let themselves in for! As a corporate sponsor of Rowcroft Hospice’s first ever Colour Rush in Teignmouth, Pathfinder Homes put forward a group of runners and a team of paint throwers all ready to get hands on to raise money for a great cause!
Run, walk, or even dance your way around the a 5k route, while being showered with powder paint at three paint stations, all whilst raising vital funds to support our local hospice, Rowcroft. More than 650 people all came together to turn the sea, sky and shores of Teignmouth rainbow-coloured and it was colour-CRAZY! Together, we pledged to raise more than an incredible £40,000! All the funds raised go directly towards helping local families living with life-limiting illnesses make the most of every day they have together, sharing precious moments and making unforgettable memories.
As the green team, the Pathfinder Homes paint station was set up in a matter of minutes thanks to the help from the dedicated Rowcroft volunteers and the team assembled ready to create a sea of green! With a rather competitive team, the vision was clear… ensure every participant in the race left Teignmouth resembling The Incredible Hulk, Mission Accomplished!
