The dreaded C word… Covid-19 or, more commonly known as the Coronavirus is causing worldwide chaos and devastation. Yesterday, 24th March 2020, our board of directors took the difficult decision to close our factory and offices until further notice. With fear of the unknown, this decision has not been made lightly however, we all believe this is the right thing to do. The Health and Safety of our team is of the utmost importance and with this in mind and our people’s best interests at heart our Managing Director, Bruce MacDonald addressed the team and our customers.
We have set up numerous forums and channels of communication between management, directors and team members with the aim to keep our dedicated, close team together throughout this period. Below is a copy of the letter he sent out to our customers.
Dear friends and family,
What a week! I am reaching out today to let you know, we are, or course following government guidelines and as of today, we have sent our dedicated team home and have temporarily shut down our factory.
Having dedicated our careers to building our lovely customers beautiful homes, now, we have the chance to encourage you to stay in, and make the most of them!
We are constantly searching and adapting to this ever changing situation and although our studio and show homes are temporarily closed I am delighted to confirm our social media platforms are still live and you can still live chat through our website anytime that suits you. Whether you have a query or are just searching for some home inspiration, please feel free to get in touch.
I want to take this opportunity to let you know we’re doing all we can to keep our team safe and will continue to do all we can to support them.
We’re monitoring the situation closely and will continue to follow official advice from the government, the WHO and the NHS. We’ll keep in touch if things change, and invite you to join us on our social media platforms (links below) where we’ll be posting regular updates.
In the meantime, I’m sending a message of support, health and well being while you stay home, combating this epidemic.
